Dr Hannah Daly, Lecturer in Sustainable Energy Systems Modelling, UCC, ERI and MaREI Centre, discusses how the energy system can rise to the climate mitigation challenge. Dr. Daly outlines new modelling work with the TIMES-Ireland Model which sets out different pathways for energy use and supply which can achieve this level of decarbonisation, and will reflect on the most pressing priorities for short-term actions.
