The Iraq Emergency Heritage Management Training Scheme is a programme funded by the UK government. The training consists of two months based in London at the British Museum, followed by two months of hands-on training at sites in Iraq. The participants are divided across two sites – Tello (ancient Girsu), a Sumerian site in the south of Iraq, and Darband-i Rania, a previously unexplored area of archaeological sites in the north.
