Our New Testament reading is from Revelation 8 with the beginning of the seven trumpet judgments. Today we’ll read about the first four. They’re horrible enough, but before the fifth one sounds an angel cries, “Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the earth, at the blasts of the other trumpets that the three angels are about to blow!” We’ll also read through the short book of Jonah. It’s a small book but there is so much more to learn from it than your typical Sunday school story.
