Testing & reviewing the Royal Talens / Sakura Pigma brush pens (set of 3) to see if they are waterproof / water resistant, alcohol marker proof (can they be used with copic markers for line art without smudging), how quickly they dry, is they can hold up against a pencil eraser and finishing with a demo of me using the brush pens to practice some drawing fundamentals drapery and clothing. It's worth nothing that although these inking pens are called 'brush pens' they are not the typical bristles, and more of a firmer foam type nib.
I found these pens randomly when watching a video here on YouTube by the artist Martin Abel ( check him out, incredible fantasy artist! ). I saw him using the pens with some markers, so wanted to test them out, as I am always looking for inking pens that are markerproof / can be used for the line art of alcohol marker pieces. Alcohol markers being things like Ohuhu markers, Copic, Winser Newton..etc. I note in the video how dark these brush pens are, maybe even matching the Sakura Micron Pigma inking pens, I am not sure whether the ink is the same or different.
I always find pens and pencils pretty difficult to review, but hopefully this helped if you were considering buying the pens.
