Hey, hope you're having a fantastic day! If you want to make your Ferret nation safer, I have a couple tips. I found using hammock instead of the second floor to be the best option, plus rats love hammocks. There are tons of hammocks available online, or you can make them yourself. Another option is to super glue the floor into place and make sure the glue doesn't come into contact with your animal. I'm very sorry about the spelling mistakes in the video, I tried to make the video very quickly to get this information posted sooner.
When I got my Ferret Nation 181 is was really excited, my excitement turned to quick concern when we noticed a sharp piece of metal sticking into the cage. It was located in a spot inside the cage, where my animals would have access to. We were able to remove the sharp piece of metal, and we moved our rats in. After a couple of months we noticed the second level was a little shaky. A day when the rats were on the other side of the cage, the second level fell down! The second level is heavy, if it fell on a small animal it could break its legs or worse. This is why I've taken the second level out completely.
