The Coorg Government Museum is located in Madikeri, Karnataka, India. It was established in the year 1987. The museum is housed in a building that was once the Durbar Hall of the former rulers of Kodagu. It displays the cultural heritage and history of the Coorg region. The museum has a collection of archaeological artifacts, coins, weapons, jewelry, manuscripts, stamps, photographs, and folk objects related to Coorg. There is also a library with a collection of books on Coorg’s history and culture. There is also a gallery dedicated to the culture of the Kodavas, the indigenous people of the region. The museum is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on all days except Mondays and public holidays.
I am on a road trip from Bangalore to Coorg for 4 days. So, in this video, we will share our experience at Coorg Government Museum Madikeri.
