Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MP Mahua Maji on September 19 welcomed the Women’s Reservation Bill implemented by the Centre in Parliament. She also demanded that some reservations should be made for the SCs, STs and OBCs in the Women’s Reservation Bill.
“We welcome the Women's Reservation Bill because we have been raising our voice for this in Parliament. We were constantly demanding this. I belong from Jharkhand and the population of SCs, STs and OBCs are large in that state. Women from the upper caste will get more benefits from the Women's Reservation Bill. Women from Dalits and other castes will remain as they were before. I demand that some reservations should be made for the SCs, STs and OBCs in the Women’s Reservation Bill,” said Mahua Maji.
