I wrote this little piece back in August of 2012, and to my awe it still surprises me.
"I remember one night when I was sitting on my roof, I looked up at the full moon and heard music. Like legit heard music in my head. It was a beautiful, haunting, sad, and kinda sweet melody. I instantly thought, "I HAVE to make music about the moon," well it's taken me a while to get the melody out of my head and onto the keyboard. But I've finally finished this composition. I'm so proud of it! It may sound a bit sad, but I think that fits the Moon. I don't know about you, but some of my most emotional (happiest, saddest, angriest, calmest, most mystified, most in awe, and sweetest) have happened under the moon. So, I tried to embody not the sorrow of the moon, but the things the moon would see if it had eyes. Certainly the moon would feel powerful things if it could feel. After all, it would see the real us."
