Fun Facts about seed balls: Seed balls are ancient. As far back as ancient Egypt, seed balls were used to restore annual spring flood. In Japan they were known as tsuchi dango, or 'earth dumplings.
Seed balls go where no one else can go! Seed balls are amazingly versatile. They can be tossed over fences into abandoned lots, or out the windows of cars onto median dividers and roadside wastelands. In short, anywhere there is land to grow them- provided that the soil isn't too dry, compact, or dense with vegetation.
This nature based activity will give learners, especially learners with little learners :), the ideas, skills, and know how to get out and nature safely. Then, explore, learn, and create something together!
