...Continued from above: The reality is that the biggest cause of boats sinking (sail and power) is nothing as dramatic as the reasons above. The majority of boats that sink do so whilst tied up at their slip (or on their mooring), and a large proportion of these boats sink because of problems with through-hull assemblies (aka seacocks) and associated plumbing.
