This afternoon, inside a Chandigarh court, a bureaucrat was fatally shot by what appeared to be his father-in-law, an additional inspector general of the Punjab police who is on suspension. Harpreet Singh, the victim, was an irrigation department IRS officer (Indian Revenue Service).
