May 2 | Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) joins The Lead with Jake Tapper on CNN to discuss the debt ceiling and Speaker McCarthy's Default on America plan. Whitehouse, Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, will chair a hearing on Thursday entitled, "The Default on America Act: Blackmail, Brinkmanship, and Billionaire Backroom Deals."
Whitehouse and Tapper also discussed the deepening ethics crisis at the Supreme Court. Whitehouse co-led a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday on Supreme Court ethics reform.
