In this tutorial, we’re going to show you how to turn on the Developer tab in Excel 2016.

First, right-click the ribbon at the top and click Customize the Ribbon.

Click the drop-down that says Popular Commands, select Main Tabs.

Find the Developer tab, and Add it over to the right.

Sometimes the Developer tab will already be on the right, in that case just check the box next to it to enable the Developer tab. Finally, hit OK.
