One of Osaka's biggest attractions is the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, in Minato, Osaka. Approximately 1 hour from Kyoto by train, and served by Osakako Station on the Chuo Line on Osaka's Metro, it was the biggest aquarium in the world when it opened in 1990.
