We were very excited to visit the town of Graaff-Reinet. We heard so many fantastic things about this place that we felt we had to come and see it for ourselves. The fact that it is the sixth oldest town in South Africa just added to that excitement. It has the most national monuments of any town in the country and is surrounded by the Camdeboo National Park on three sides. As we drove into the town, we knew we had entered an exploration overload zone! And it truly was. Driving down Church Street the first thing you see is the enormously impressive church. This building is absolutely stunning.
