Tasty Sindhi Chicken Biryani Recipe || Chicken Biryani With Homemade Biryani Masala Powder

Today I am thrilled to share my recipe for Chicken Sindhi Biryani, which features my homemade biryani masala powder. Sindhi Biryani is a special meat and rice dish from the Sindh province of Pakistan and is one of the most popular dishes in Pakistani and Sindhi cuisine. In fact, it is served on all Pakistani flights to passengers.

Biryani comes in 130 different varieties, each cooked with its own unique style and taste. Sindhi biryani is one of these varieties, originally prepared with just a few spices. As it gained popularity across Pakistan, people began adding their own variations to the recipe, resulting in a dish similar to other types of biryani but with its own unique twist.

Ingredients for marinading:
1 kg, chicken 12 pieces
3-4 tbsp, biryani masala or to taste
125g, homemade yogurt

Ingredients for Qorma:
1 cup, tomato paste
8-10 pcs, green chilies
125g, ghee/desi ghee/oil
Marinaded Chicken
2 tbsp, lemon juice
a few, coriander leaves
a few, mint leaves
2-3 green chilies
1 tbsp, fried brown onion

For Rice:
1 kg, basmati rice soaked
4 tbsp, salt
1 tbsp, oil
1 tbsp, white vinegar
1 tsp, black cumin
2 cloves
2 pods of green cardamoms
1 stick cinnamon
1/3 pcs, star anise
1-liter water hot boiled

For layering:
75-80% cooked rice
chicken qorma
1 tbsp, mint
1 tbsp, coriander
3-4, lemon slices
8-10 tomato slices
4-5 drops, orange food color
2 tbsp, qorma oil
4-5 drops biryani essence
1/2 cup, hot rice water
