How To Use Live Listen On iPhone

In this quick tech video, I’m going to show you how to use a lesser-known feature on your iPhone called Live Listen.

Live Listen is a feature that allows you to use your Bluetooth headphones, such as AirPods, as a hearing device, or definitely not a spying device, by using your iPhone as a microphone or amplifier.

To do this, make sure you have your Bluetooth headphones connected to your phone.

Once they’re connected, we need to enable Live Listen in Control Center.

Open Settings and choose Control Center.

If you don’t already have Hearing added to Included Controls, scroll down into the More Controls section and tap the plus sign next to Hearing.

Close Settings and then swipe down from the top right of your screen to access Control Center.

In here find and tap the Hearing icon that looks like an ear.

Finally, tap Live Listen to turn it on.

You will then get a live view of the audio volume level, and will hear the live audio coming through your headphones.

When you’re finished tap Live Listen again to turn it off.

And that’s how you enable and use the Live Listen feature on an iPhone using Bluetooth headphones.
