[ Ссылка ] - Haake Technik GmbH, Germany, presents in this video demonstration an interlock system made in Germany for lever-operated valves by using a key transfer system with full QAS quality assurance system (UQS) certification. Haake Technik is certified to ISO 9001:2008 and has introduced the Full Quality Assurance System (FQA) according to Annex X of the Machinery Directive MRL 2006/42/EC for the product series HST and HSV (key transfer system / valve interlocks) certified by DGUV Test, Committee Electrical Engineering (Germany).
The FQS-certified (full quality assurance system) key transfer system of Haake Technik ensures that only authorised personnel is able to manual valve operation. An operating error at a valve can have dramatic consequences -- personal injuries, damages to the plant, or even contamination of the environment can be a result. Thus, the safe operation of valves must be guaranteed. By using the Haake safety valve interlocks you can be sure the correct valve open close sequence of operating procedures will always be adhered to. Haake products can be installed at every lever-operated or hand-wheel valve without damaging the mounting (e. g. lever valve lockout system according to machinery directive). Haake's valve interlocks improve workplace and machine safety of entire facilities and plants according to European Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and the Machinery Safety Standards.
Description of valve locking funcionality: This example demonstrates a key transfer system with interlock for lever-operated valves. Initially, the valve is opened, which is indicated by the position of the lever and the free upper key shaft (A-red). The valve, as locked, can not be operated. Step 1: The key (A-red) used by authorized employees will be inserted in the free key slot to enable a manullay operation operation of the valve. The key shape and coding is designed in a way that each key only fits its own relevant shaft (cf. video).
Typical applications for valve interlock systems (valve lock) include power plants, oil or petroleum refinery, oil and natural gas networks (energy supply industry), water supplies, oil platforms/depots, filling plants, paper mills, chemical production plants and pipeline transport for e. g. oil, natural gas and biofuels. But mechanical control and valve lockout systems are as well important to avoid operating errors at valves and to protect personnel and machinery (workplace safety) and for industrial process reliability, system failure and disaster prevention.
