It's well known within the Time+Tide team that steel bezels really rev Ricardo's engine. Couple that with a GMT complication and he's basically sold, so no surprise here what Ricardo and Zach's top pick out of the newly released Tudor 2022 novelties was.
Zach also expands on his love of all things nineties and two-tone to round out the pair's top picks from a very strong batch of releases from the shield.

BLACK BAY PRO
A lot of watch fans' prayers were answered when this was unveiled. Housed within that familiar 39mm case, although standing a little taller than its BB58 cousins, the Black Bay Pro delivers the true tool watch charm that the current batch of shiny, ceramic Rolex Explorer IIs and GMTs seem to be lacking. Time will tell if this is will become one of Tudor's most popular models, but based on first glance there will be a lot more people than Ricardo registering their interest when this becomes available.
Black Bay 31/36/39/41 S&G
An often overlooked collection from Tudor sees the addition of the 39mm case. In Zach's mind this in theory helps to fill the void of the oh-too-short run of the OP 39mm models. Available in a variety of dial colours and sizes, there is surely something here for everybody and serves as an entry-level step into the two-tone vibe. Zach's pick of this years novelties is the black dialled 39mm version.
Tudor Royal
Unlike other famous Royals this one seems to have slipped under the radar compared to some of the other models on this list. However, with their mother of pearl dials, the options for having a diamond-set bezel or a notched bezel in either steel or yellow gold you'll definitely stand out in a crowd. Given that these are available in 28mm or 34mm sizes, they are certainly geared towards those with smaller wrists or a preference for vintage fitments.
Black Bay S&G Chrono
The Tudor Black Bay Chrono S&G returns in a new guise that raises the flashiness whilst retaining its poise, now bearing a sunburst champagne dial with contrasting black subdials. The dial is slightly domed, which adds even more depth to the brushing as it moves in the light, and although legibility is sacrificed by having gold hands on a gold background the overall effect is too stunning to ignore.
Black Bay GMT S&G
Tudor's first GMT from the Black Bay family takes on a "Root Beer" colour-way for 2022. This year's version has a lot more vintage feels compared to the sleek steel Pepsi edition from 2018 (how is this watch four years old already???). The combination of solid gold end-links and steel filled with gold throughout the bracelet allows a much lower entry point for people wanting to dabble with a touch of gold, next time they're travelling. Couple that with 200m worth of water resistance and you still have the ultimate adventure watch - now just a little fancier.
