Applications at UCT were open on 1 April 2022 and the closing date is on the 31st of July 2022.

🔹National Benchmark Tests

Most undergraduate applicants who normally reside, or have completed/are completing schooling, in South Africa must write the NBTs. Applicants applying for admission to a programme only in the Faculty of Engineering & the Built Environment are not required to write the NBTs. Applicants applying for admission to a programme in the Faculty of Health Sciences must write the NBTs, wherever they may reside. If you wish to be considered for a conditional offer by the Faculty of Health Sciences, you must write the NBTs by 31 July 2022; if you write the NBTs after 31 July, you will only be considered for an offer in early 2023 after your final examination results are received. The final date to write the NBTs for admission to UCT is 15 October 2022.

🔹Registration for the NBTs, which include the selection of a test mode, date, and, where appropriate, a venue, must be completed online with the National Benchmark Test Project.
