Pakistan Punjab Chief Minister and former PM Nawaz Sharif's daughter, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, greeted Indian Sikh devotees on the Pakistan side of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, on Thursday, 18 April 2024. The Indian devotees were celebrating Vaisakhi at the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib shrine in Pakistan's Kartarpur Sahib. Addressing the devotees, Maryam said, "Upon my appointment as Chief Minister, I received congratulatory messages from Punjab in India as well." She also partook in langar (community kitchen) at the shrine.
