Measles:

• Measles is a highly contagious condition

Symptoms to look for:

• Cough
• Sneezing
• Red & watery eyes
• High Fever
• Loss of appetite
• Red spots in the child's mouth
• Itchy rashes behind the ear & on the face
• Peeling skin

Causes:

• Incorrect eating habits
• Unhygienic living conditions
• Transferred via an infected child

Natural home remedy using basil leaves and turmeric powder:

1. Take some crushed basil leaves
2. Extract juice by pressing on a sieve
3. Add a pinch of turmeric powder
4. Let the child consume this mixture twice everyday

Natural home remedy using fenugreek seeds, ginger and honey:

1. Take 1 glass hot water
2. Add to it 2 tbsp fenugreek seeds
3. Mix well
4. Let it soak for about 2 hr
5. Give the child 3 tsp of this mixture every 30 min

Tips:

• Ensure that your child gets the measles vaccination
• If your child is infected, then make sure he or she stays at home
