Irbaz Riaz, MBBS, MS, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, discusses a study in which the disparities in clinical trial participation of both racial/ethic minority patients and older patients with prostate cancer were studied across the last 30 years. Black representation in prostate cancer clinical trials is less than 50% of their expected share based on cancer incidence.
