Job Description:
Well-established manufacturer located north of Old Westbury, NY seeks an experienced Vice President of Operations.
This position will report to the CEO and will oversee and manage end-to-end supply chain operations to maximize efficiency and product quality and minimize cost and working capital.
SOME main functions include but are not limited to:
- Direct and indirect sourcing/procurement
- Inbound and outbound transportation management
- Warehouse management
- Supply chain and manufacturing planning
- Inventory management
- Staff management (~100 employees)
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5-10 years of broad experience in supply chain management including planning, sourcing and logistics
- Direct experience in implementing new supply chain processes, systems and best practices
- Exposure to manufacturing and quality best practices including lean
- Experience with ERP and MRP programs (Epicor a big plus)
- APICS certification a +
