One day, many years ago, my uncle blasphemed and the little image of St Michael that he had in his office fell off the wall. Ita was the first of many convenient car pilgrimages to ask for St Michael's forgiveness at the sanctuary of Monte Sant'Angelo, in the Gargano, Puglia. Since childhood, I have loved the smells of this wonderful area, the criystal clear water, the sea and nature.
