We have been using the PanOptix premium multifocal lens since 2019 on thousands of patients with outstanding results overall. In April 2024, we started using the Odyssey premium multifocal lens.
Over the past 6 months, I have found that patients with the odyssey lens overall have fewer side-effects and seem to be more satisfied overall with their vision compared to the patients with the panoptix.
Our patient shares his story of the dissatisfaction with the quality of vision with the PanOptix lens. He underwent intraocular lens exchange with the Odyssey lens after having YAG laser capsulotomy. His intraocular lens exchange was challenging.
His vision was subjectively better and her preferred his vision with the odyssey lens over the panoptix lens.
