The Laboratorio Arte Alameda celebrates the exhibition of The Gravity of Things in Mexico City
An exhibition about the Gravity of Things opens at the Laboratorio Arte Alameda in Mexico City.Nine Mexican artists present their works in which they have recorded the zero gravity experience by different forms like video, script and installation.
The nine artists share the same interest about the gravity but translate it into different artistic expressions. They have experienced the feeling of flying, the interaction between people and the changing states of the water in the space.
The exhibition focuses on some fundamental topics of the human being. It´s an interdisciplinary reflection about the cultural and scientific implications of the concept of gravity.
In the recent two years, many Mexicans artists have created projects related with the spatial science and at the same time, Mexico has entered into a new stage of space exploration through the newly founded Mexican Spatial Agency(in Spanish, AEM).
The exhibition will be open till the 22 March in the Laboratorio Arte Alameda (Dr. Mora 7, colonia Centro).
