(22 Dec 2016) At least 25 people were killed after three suicide car bombs detonated on Thursday in the Iraqi city of Mosul.
Dozens others were wounded and were placed in ambulances for treatment.
The three suicide car bombs reportedly struck a crowd of civilians at a marketplace and security positions in the city.
On Wednesday, Human Rights Watch said Islamic State fighters are deliberately targeting civilians in areas they have lost to government forces.
Iraq launched a major offensive in October to retake Mosul, the country's second largest city.
