Never let it be said that I don't know how to romance my lovely wife. She deserves only the best. That's why I treated her to a freezing cold adventure on a mountaintop with no tent.

This video proves that you CAN combine romance with a tasty bit of Iceland landscape photography.

We hike up the hill just in time for sunset and then stick around until sunrise with only the sheep to keep us company and some Icelandic chocolates for energy.

Admittedly, I really should have brought a jet boil to keep Amanda warm with some hot coffee but like a true gent I lend her my warm jacket even though I did specifically advise her to bring sufficient warm clothing.

I guess I wasn't specific enough.

I manage to capture some spectacular drone footage while enjoying the panoramic views over the lovely town of Vik in Southern Iceland.

Will Amanda make it till sunrise or will she ditch me for the warmth of the car? How will my blue hour shot turn out and are Icelandic sheep really the apex predator?

There's really only one way to find out.
