WATERPROOF has a video on how to install the ULTIMA suit side ring directly to a seal and in their video, they cut the seal and install a new seal for the diver to use.
We've never liked the idea of cutting seals so we use the old "diving concepts method" as shown in this video.
This can be done on a drysuit with "normal" glue on latex wrist seals as well, just flip the sleeve inside out (instead of flipping the zip seal, inside out).
