Could the Ukrainian economy survive an invasion by Russia? Even in the worst-case scenarios, there would be areas in Ukraine that would not be at war: mainly in the West of the country. What life awaits those living in those regions?
There is a precedent that can shed a lot of light on this issue: Georgia (the country, not the US state). Georgia, with its capital in Tbilisi, is one of the brightest examples of how libertarian reforms have helped to lift a country that seemed to be stuck in the 19th century out of poverty. Indeed, we could say that Georgia was Putin's first victim. However, they have managed to maintain enviable economic growth rates.
