Citroën showcases 100 years of boldness and innovation with a wide range of vehicles at its stand at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
To celebrate its centenary in style, the brand is exhibiting three iconic models having received a modern-day makeover: Type A, Traction and 2CV.
Citroën is exhibiting a renewed range that is dynamic, strong and harmonious, with six major launches since 2016. This roll-out has produced results, with the French car manufacturer posting its highest sales in Europe in 7 years in 2018. The range is being presented for the first time in the new livery of the Collector Origins Edition celebrating the centenary – and spearheaded by its new flagship vehicle, the C5 Aircross SUV. Manufactured in its La Janais plant at Rennes in France, the SUV will be the first Citroën vehicle to have a Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) version, available from 2020. Citroën is pursuing its product offensive with the aim of marketing an electrified version of each model in its range by 2025.
Making its world premiere was also the Ami One Concept, a disruptive all-electric vision of urban mobility developed for customized customer journeys focused on seamlessness, ease and freedom of use. The concept was designed as an alternative to public transport and other individual, two-wheeler means of transport. Advancing a new form of mobility and responding to current and future urban issues, Ami One Concept is fully in step with changes in customer behaviour and the challenge of the energy transition in the city.
In another world debut, SpaceTourer The Citroënist Concept - is a modern van full of character, inspired by the desire for freedom and sharing. It offers a real mobile living and work space to experience boundless adventure while staying connected.
