We headed out to the lawn to try to do some work to get ready for spring. We started with a flower bed area that needed the leaves and twigs blown out of it so we grabbed our Ego LB5300 leaf blower and the 7.5 Ah battery from our Ego LM2102SP mower and headed out to get to work. Why were we going to use the 7.5 Ah battery? Because we wanted a longer run time and wanted to use the LB5300 blower at maximum power. Are you wondering about the added weight of the 7.5 Ah battery? Well there is an easy solution to solve the added weight issue when you want to use a large Ego 56 volt Power plus battery with your handheld equipment, and that solution is the Ego BH1001 backpack link. The BH1001 backpack link is a harness that lets you carry the battery on your back rather than directly in the equipment. So this makes it easier to use a 7.5 Ah battery with your Ego handheld leaf blower, hedge trimmer, and other equipment. In this case we started with the Ego BH1001 using a 7.5 Ah battery and connected it to our LB5300 leaf blower. After blowing leaves and sticks for a while with the blower running at it's highest power output (On turbo/530 CFM), we decided to trim some of our ornamental grass with our Ego HT2410 hedge trimmer. The nice part was we didn't have to stop to charge a battery and were able to just unplug the backpack link's "dummy" battery from the Ego LB5300 and then plug it into our HT2410 hedge trimmer and keep working.
