The fourth in Simon Lamb's series of sonnets inspired by the six sites of the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum (Alloway, Ayrshire, Scotland).

As writer-in-residence, Simon is writing a new poem for each site. This poem follows 'On Poet's Path' for Poet's Path, 'Sonnet: Brig o' Doon' for Brig o' Doom, and 'The Love of Words' for the Burns Monument.
