Denis Goldberg was accused in the Rivonia Trial, South Africa between 9 October 1963 and 12 June 1964, for his struggle against apartheid. As a member of ANC’s armed wing Umkhonto we Sizwe he was, among others, responsible for recruiting and training candidates in the Western Cape.
Here we were visiting the place in Mamre, Western Cape, South Africa, where Denis Goldberg was hiding with his troupe. This was the 1st time for him revisiting the past. Date of visit: 12 July 2008. With me was Dumile Magotla who once expressed to me “He (D. Goldberg) was my Hero”.
