I produced this film in memory of an extraordinary woman
– Eileen Caddy.
I spent two years living in the Findhorn Community. It was Eileen’s kind personality that made me want to stay and meditate close to her.
In November 1962 three remarkable people, Eileen Caddy, her husband Peter, and their friend Dorothy MacLean, settled on a campsite next to the small village of Findhorn.
Arriving there, they started growing their own vegetables in order to feed themselves. With Eileen following her inner voice, Dorothy listening to the energy consciousness of nature, and Peter’s vision and inspirational leadership, they worked hard and their garden flourished. Soon they started to attract people to join them.
Over the years an invisible spiritual force seemed to magnetically attract people from all over the world.
In November 2012 the community celebrated its 50th birthday.
It has become for many people all over the world a place of inspiration, and of spiritual and ecological education. Eileen’s vision of a centre of light has manifested.
In 2004 Eileen Caddy was honoured by being given the Member of the British Empire award in recognition of her spiritual endeavours and services to mankind. This was two years before she died.
