Hello everyone. Disclaimer:
This is a carefully and structurally realistic and scientifically accurate speculative sound design test of the famous and late semi-acuatic spine lizard from Egypt called Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus that inhabited in natural habitats like ponds, swamps, lakes, rivers and forests.
The following sounds are not at all proof because we’ll never know what these creatures sounded like but a valid speculation of the nature of this creature given it’s biology, anatomical structure and theorized internal organs to paint it as a mix between crocodiles and ducks. So do not take this as guaranteed evidence because i am not an palaeontologist but I’ve been a passionate dinosaur enthusiast since childhood with the innocent curiosity of what these creatures would’ve sounded like during their time so this is 100% fanmade. However you can give this the benefit of the doubt and feel free to comment down below to offer your own thoughts about this sound effect.
I edited and used the sounds of crocodiles, alligators, my own voice (which i distort to sound animalistic and monstrous) and the original reconstructed sounds of the Spinosaurus and mixed them all together.
Please use headphones for better hearing. Enjoy the video!
Sound descriptions:
0:07-0:45 - territorial display
0:13-0:20 mating call
0:29-0:42 - close mouth vocalisations to confuse prey
0:58:-1:03 - assertion for dominance and threat display
1:06-1:50 - bellow (another close-mouth vocalisation done to avoid unpromising contests for mates and breeding areas)
Additional note, the rest of my dinosaur posts will not have an extended disclaimer like this one but they will have explanation for the sound effects.
