The 1984 Topps Football set could have combined the 1984 Topps Football NFL set with the 1984 Topps USFL set to make the greatest rookie checklist ever for football cards!

This could have had the following rookies all in one set:

- Dan Marino
- Jim Kelly
- Steve Young
- Herschel Walker
- Eric Dickerson
- Curt Warner
- Roger Craig
- Reggie White
- Howie Long
- Jim Covert
- Dwight Stephenson
- Jackie Slater
- Anthony Carter
- Darrell Green
- Morten Andersen
