Mary Queen of Scots visitor centre, Jedburgh (TD8 6EN)
This visitor centre is located in a 16th century house used by Mary Queen of Scots. It tells the story of her life and tragic end & has paintings, textiles & documents from the time.
An interesting place with plenty of reading, enough to keep you occupied for an hour or more.
I’d not think it’s going to entertain a child unless they are good readers & have a keen interest in this.
Other attractions in town are the Abbey & the Castle/Jail Museum.
Cannon Gate Carpark was free to use (on our visit) and in the corner is also the visit Scotland tourist centre.
We can also recommend Michelle’s little cake shop & café on the corner of High St & Market Pl.
