Here is another fairly strong chess #computer from the late 1990s. The #Novag Turquoise Chess Computer has an advertised rating of 2294 USCF. It has a real performance of about 2000 ELO. Powered by a Hitachi H8/300 processor, this computer has a press sensory board and shows the moves with LEDs. It has 128 playing levels.

You will need a 9V adapter to power this. My adapter was 220V but was able to use a universal 9V adapter with it. This board is pretty rare but you may be able to find it in Europe.
