In Bhagavad Gita Chapter 1, Verse 15, the types of conch shells blown by different personalities are mentioned during the onset of the great Kurukshetra war. This verse describes the various conch shells blown by the warriors present on both sides of the battlefield. Here is the verse:
"Lord Krishna blew His conch shell called Panchajanya; Arjuna blew his conch shell called Devadatta; and Bhima, the voracious eater and performer of Herculean tasks, blew his terrific conch shell called Paundra."
According to this verse, Lord Krishna blew the conch shell named Panchajanya, Arjuna blew the conch shell called Devadatta, and Bhima blew the conch shell named Paundra.
Each of these conch shells had its own significance and represented the unique qualities of the warriors who blew them. The sound of these conch shells echoed across the battlefield, signifying the commencement of the epic war.
