Rebecca is a local beekeeper in Asheville NC and a passionate advocate of preserving the ancient Mayan cultural beekeeping methods in Yucatan, Mexico by: Raising awareness to support the conservation of the endangered Native stingless melipona bee; funding to bring hives to seasoned and novice Maya beekeepers; create income for new beekeepers, repair, replace and build new meliponarios for Maya beekeepers; provide local Bee education in Traditional Maya api-culture methods.
