Kali Bari Mandir is a Hindu temple situated on Bantony Hill, Shimla. The temple is dedicated to fearsome reincarnation of Goddess Kali, known as Shyamala, after which the Shimla city is named. The goddess is believed to have existed near Jakhoo Hill.
Kali Bari temple was originally built in 1845 by a Bengali Brahmin Ram Charan Brahamchari in the vicinity of Rothney Castle on Jakhoo Hill. That's why it resembles the Dakshineswar Kali Temple in Kolkata. It is one of the ancient temples of the city and features a unique Hindu-style architecture along with blue coloured wooden idol of goddess Kali. Later, the British shifted the location of the temple to Bantony Hill. Kali Bari Temple trust formed in 1902 mainly consists of Bengali members.
The temple is located in middle of the city center. It has a beautiful scenic charm of the city as well as of nature. Shimla's Old Bus Stand, ARTRAC, Annadale, Railway Board Building, Shimla Railway Station, Shri Hanuman Jakhu can be seen from the temple premises. The temple attracts a lot of tourists and devotees.
There are no web site facility where you can book the room for staying but all you have to do is that send a mail at simlakalibari.1823@gmail.com including your date of visit, members will have and number of room requirement. They will normally replies with in 4 days. after room booking confirmation you have to deposit total payment into their bank account via NEFT from any bank or Paytm to bank transfer or mobikwik to bank transfer or phonepe to bank transfer. Next send a payment confirmation mail to them. After checking it they will send you Confirmation Booking details at your mail id with in next 4 days. Now print and carry with you to show it at the entrance time at kali bari.

About rooms - In a single room max up to 6 persons can stay and the rooms & bathrooms are well furnished with tiles. some rooms are city view facing too where you can get a panoramic view of shimla. it's awesome. space in the rooms are also enough. Normal price is Rs 350/- & for 6 person in a room it is Rs 450/-
