This video shows you how to install a steering rack and pinion bellow on your 2007-2013 Chevrolet Silverado. The steering rack bellow is a plastic or rubber cover used to protect the joint between the steering rack and the tie rods from dirt, debris, water, and other contaminants that could corrode or damage the tie rod joint.
This repair was done on a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ 5.3L Extended Cab Pickup 4-Door 4WD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
