(1 Nov 2018) Tourists were not stopped from enjoying Venice on Thursday despite continued floods in the Italian city.
It has just been a few days since an exceptional high tide brought water levels to their highest in a decade on Monday.
The waters have slightly receded, but St Mark's Square remains partially submerged as visitors walked around wearing colourful disposable boots or up on temporary platforms.
Floods remain inside the famous St Mark's Basilica, which officials say suffered 20 years of ageing in one day.
