The government pushes the pedal on reforms, clears the Ordinance on Land Act amendments. Five sectors including defence, housing for poor, rural infrastructure and industrial corridors have now been exempted from the consent clause There is no change in compensation & rehabilitation cover for farmers but at the same time, the scope of the Act has been widened in the larger interest of farmers.
