Explaining stereotypes, society expectations, gender identity, discrimination, unequal pay, and the influence to ones gender. Vanes Lin was born in Hong Kong. Because she practices English since a little girl, she speaks English, Cantonese and Chinese fluently. She enjoys spending afternoons snuggled with her dog and reading. She also enjoys watching television with her parents right after dinner. Inspired by the unequal experiences on sports when she was in primary, she wants to stand up for herself and others who have experienced gender inequality too. Vanes hopes she can spread the word with her teammates and make a change by taking action at her school in ShenZhen, China and in further talks.
Natalia del Rio war born in Florida, USA, 2010. Because her parents are Latin, she can speak both Spanish and English. When she turned eight, she moved to Singapore and was introduced to the IB curriculum, where she started learning Chinese. Five years later, she moved to Shenzhen, China, her current residence. One of her main beliefs is that everyone should be equal and someone’s culture, religion or gender shouldn’t determine their social standing. As a child, Natalia mostly heard about gender discrimination and inequality, which is why she chose to first raise awareness about this issue, then hopefully continue to improve the issue of world inequality.
