My buddy Scott and I camped over night in Loch Morlich at Aviemore. I Kayaked with my gear over to the camp spot. Once there we processed dead standing wood prior to making camp for the night.

Temperatures got down to -6 and everywhere outwith the 2 or 3 meter radius from the fire was frozen solid.

We cooked two lovely steaks on the cast iron Skillet and had them with a bottle of Jura Journey.

It was a clear night and the stars were out in force and we were able to see the milky way.
Due to the temperatures being so low it was mighty cold in the tent however we managed to survive.

We heard the Duck calls all night long and were surprised at waking up to the sun rising over the hills.

Great night, great company and can't wait until the next adventure.
