The DeSoto Chamber of Commerce has created a new signature event coming April 1, 2017 to DeSoto East Middle School off Beltline Road. It will start at 10am and go through 4pm.
The DeSoto Living! Festival includes several event areas (“Zones”) such as “DeSoto Drives” featuring a Classic Car Show, DeSoto BMX, TV Give-Away and a Polaris Slingshot Display, a “KidZone” with a Bounce House, 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, DeSoto ISD Stage with Youth Performances, “DeSoto Goes Green” highlighting energy conservation, recycling and xeriscaping; “Wellness Zone” featuring health-related vendors, a kids Obstacle Course and Carter Blood Care Vehicle; the “SafeZone” highlighting DeSoto Police SWAT MRAP, Robotics Demonstratoions & the DeSoto Fire Rescue Fire Truck as well as the Police vs Fire Tug-O-War; “PetZone” with a Petting Zoo, a Pet Parade and Pony Ranch. Lets not forget get “DeSoto Live” with over 20 live performances throughout the day. Each stage will be under a tent with theater seating and tables.
