Sasia me e madhe e lendes narkotike sekuestruar keto kohet e fundit eshte gjetur pas 5 operacioneve te policise, tre prej tyre te kryer nga policia e Gjirokastrës dhe 2 nga policia kufitare e Kakavijës. Sipas drejtuesve te policisë, operacioni me i bujshëm ishte ai i verifikimit dhe kapjes se 1 ton kanabis brenda nje autoboti karburantesh. Mjeti i ngarkuar me dhjetëra pako mariuhane ne vend te karburantit ishte nisur nga Kruja dhe destinacion kishte Greqinë. Ai u kap ne Kakavijë pak para nisjes per ne shtetin fqinje. Edhe kater sasite e tjera te mariuhanes sekuestruar nga policia do te dërgoheshin ne Greqi. Nga ky supertrafik droge jane arrestuar 7 persona te moshes 17 deri 30 vjeç, ndersa jane shpallur ne kerkim 4 te tjere. Nje pjese e sasise se kapur te droges ishte blere ne Lazarat. Policia ka nisur hetimet per përfshirjen e personave te tjere ne kete trafik te lendes narkotike. Operacionet e policisë jugore kane marre vlerësime nga ambasadori amerikan ne Tirane.
